Typically small class sizes allow students to gain extra supervision as needed to succeed.

Like our other professional programmes, graduates can use this degree either to augment their skill-set, or move on to more traditional degree programmes here at ABC or other Ghanaian institutions.

We currently offer the following courses:

  • Oil & Gas Management
  • Banking & Finance
  • Human Resource Management
  • Business Administration & Strategic Management

ADVANCED BUSINESS CERTIFICATE EXAMINATION (ABCE)

ABC introduced the Advanced Business Certificate Examination in 2006 with a dual purpose. Primarily, it trains professionals for middle management positions which typically results in promotion. However. it can also be used as a gateway to further academic opportunities like a BSc programme.

In our early years, we noticed that many students failed entry into BSc programmes with grades lower than ‘C’ in required subjects on their WASSCE exams. These students can take advantage of the ABCE to gain entry into level 200 of any BSc programme offered by the college. We have witnessed several students take this path to excellence in their undergraduate studies and beyond.

The Diploma

To obtain the ABCE diploma, a candidate must complete 3 mandatory and 2 elective courses. Note that candidates are given 2 tries in 2 years to pass all exams. Should a student pass some subject examinations, they will be awarded the Advanced Business Certificate for each subject.

Requirements

To gain entry into the ABCE programme, candidates must have 5 passes at GBCE or SSCE/WASSCE level including English and Mathematics, or their equivalent
